Eco Community, Singapore

The site is situated next to a forest reserve along railway corridor where biodiversity flourishes. The site required a solution that will resonate with its surrounding yet provide for urban development. Thus, the concept was to create a low impact development with compact, high density around the transit node, freeing up the land for ecological solutions. A biodiversity bridge connecting the two reserves, community gardens, active-beautiful-clean (ABC) water solutions, were some of the green ideas for a resilient community. Safeguarding the natural heritage, proposal included promotion of festivals that connect us to nature, creating a unique Eco Community Culture, as an identity.
